Pattern for Fish and Chip Baby Jumper and Hat

This is my modified pattern:

 Jumper Pattern (Knitted all in one)

Using double knitting wool and No.4mm needles

Cast on 44 stitches

Work 18 rows in [K2, P2 rib]

Work 30 rows stocking stitch (1 row plain, 1 row purl)

Cast on 12 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows

**Next row: (K1,P1) 3 times Knit to last 6 st (P1,K1) 3 times

Following row: (K1,P1) 3 times Purl to last 6 st (P1,K1) 3 times

Repeat the above 2 rows 6 times**

Next row *(K1, P1) 3 times K 13, [P2, K2 rib] for 30 st K13, (P1, K1) 3 times

Following row (K1, P1) 3 times P 13, [P2, K2 rib] for 30 st P13, (P1, K1) 3 times

Repeat the above 2 rows 3 times*

Next row: (K1, P1) 3 times K 13, P2, Loosely cast off 26 stitches P2 K13, (P1, K1) 3 times

Following row: (K1, P1) 3 times P 13, P2, Loosely cast on 26 stitches P2 P13, (P1, K1) 3 times

Work 8 rows as from * to *

Work 14 rows from ** to **

Loosely cast off 12 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows

Work 30 rows stocking stitch

Work 18 rows, P2,K2 rib

Loosely cast off

Sew up side seams

 

Beanie Hat Pattern

Using double knitting wool and No. 4mm needles

Cast on 64 stitches and work 14 rows in K1, P1 rib

Work 24 rows in stocking stitch or until work measures 11cm from cast on edge.

Shape crown as follows:

Row 1: *K6, K2 tog. Repeat from * to end of row (56 stitches)

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: *K5, K2 tog, Repeat from * to end of row (48 stitches)

Row 4: Purl

Row 5: *K4, K2 tog, Repeat from * to end of row (40 stitches)

Row 6: Purl

Continue decreasing in this manner until (K1, K2 tog) has been completed and 16 stitches remain.

Purl 1 row.

Break yarn and thread through remaining 16 stitches.

Sew up side seam

    I have just joined and seen this pattern. I have recently learnt to knit, this will give me something to have a go at. Looks interesting.
