Tonight, Saturday 7th June 2025, is the Closing Performance of Rafal Zajko’s recent exhibition at the Focal Point Gallery in Southend.It has been such a privilege and pleasure as a member of the Contemporary Elders group to work alongside Rafal as he developed his ideas and incorporated our movements into his work. The dozen or so sessions that he held with us have inspired me and given me the self confidence that I did not know I had. And through Rafal I have met amazing artists/ choreographers/performers including Florence Peake, Kristie Richardson and Harriet Pittard.
Now Rafal takes his exhibition to Poland. What next for Contemporary Elders? Onwards and upwards! The future is ours.
